What is Belgrade Waterfront?

Belgrade Waterfront, known in Serbian as Belgrade on Water, is a construction project headed by the Government of Serbia in conjunction with one of the private investment firms in the UAE. It’s a new mixed-use city hub that rests in one focal location. Belgrade Waterfront aims to create not an isolated region but a city extension. It includes peaceful public areas for visitors and residents, a remarkable riverside with impressive attractions, and whole new cultural marvels ranging from beautiful historic buildings and modern day architectural masterpieces.

Belgrade Waterfront is driven to take urban renewal to the next level. It features office and luxury apartment buildings, eight hotels, a shopping mall and Belgrade Tower, which will stand at around 220 meters. It’s a smart city for a big future which fuses culture, commerce, and technology like no other. It has a strong job portal that provides exclusive access to exciting opportunities for businesses and locals alike.

The Challenge & Solution

The market for Belgrade Waterfront includes investors, businessmen, professionals, and home owners. The aim was to create a digital environment geared towards making each potential user group feel at home, while exuding trust and inspiration. The marketing modes and channels activated must also reflect a welcoming, futuristic aura.

We needed to showcase the state-of-the-art project in the most apt manner. The website had to be professional, user friendly, bug-free, and above all high-converting, in which case means to live and breathe brand awareness.

Web & Mobile

There’s a high tendency across all market levels to go mobile and stay on-the-go. We made the platform of Belgrade Waterfront responsive to all screen types and viewable from all devices to cover maximum market reach. After all, this is what a website should be for.

Discover

All user groups can easily navigate through the website and choose the location they wish to explore. They can readily see the job openings, features to customize, forum discussions, artist collaborations and shops that relate to a specific part of the overall project. This can help them select the opportunity closest to their needs and interests.

Explore Project Page

The most interesting part about the smart futuristic city project is the democratic element involved where users can easily explore the specifics of each project and leave their feedback on any of the subpages.

Explore Project Page

All developments are featured in separate pages and each page provides a description of the project, a photo gallery and a discussion forum. A search toolbar has also been implemented in order to allow users to search directly for any project they want to view. These pages feature descriptions, galleries as well as discussion forums.

Search for Job

Searching for a job has never been this easy. Users can type in the location, their desired salary range, and other relevant keywords necessary for the search. They can even choose whether they want to work full-time, part-time, as an intern or a freelancer. Even the ideal distance of the workplace from their home can be set. After having set these, the search results will readily bring up all possible job positions that match their criteria.

Colours

We wanted to make it all about the power of the collective and focus on a forward-looking communal vibe. To express this, we choose variations of gray, green, yellow, and blue. After all, blue is the colour of trust and yellow inspires original thought and inquisitiveness, while green is the colour of growth. The colour scheme excretes an amicable vibe that’s easily relatable. Gray and dark gray then neutralize the mix to still radiate a hint of authority and professionalism.

Icons

Without icons, web pages will have to convey messages through mere dry texts. This isn’t ideal because users are likely to retain information when prompted visually. The representations of each icon also save space and clutter. We crafted the icons for Belgrade Waterfront with simplicity in mind. Each icon has been exclusively made to match the colour palette of the site as well as the overall vibe.

Typography

We used Open Sans typefaces for the headings and paragraphs. This font is easy to the eye and looks effortlessly refined. It completes the whole package of simplicity and class that we are trying to achieve.
