What is ADIB City?

ADIB is driven to be a responsible and reliable corporate citizen and to manage its operations in a way that creates real and tangible value for shareholders, customers, employees as well as the whole community.

It started on May 20, 1997 as a Public Joint Stock Company. It officially began its commercial operations on November 11, 1998 and its operations are arranged in accordance with the Islamic Shari'a principles. They are committed in making Islamic financial solutions for every UAE resident.

The Challenge and Solution

In ADIB's pursuit to be distinct, they wanted to communicate a message different from other financial institutions that radiate a too serious appeal. The company wanted to sustain their professional image in a more creative and engaging way.

The challenge was to create a special yet effective way to reach out to their target audience while deviating from the norms in a unique and extraordinary but above all value added way.

Web and Mobile

Online banking solutions are complete if the platform is available to both personal computers and handheld devices. ADIB's unique website has been made available to all people on the go, creating a unique experience and also offering easy and accessible banking solutions to people in the UAE anytime, anywhere.

Goals

In our effort to make the platform glow, visitors are not only welcomed with professional greetings related to the direct services on offer but are also given the chance to do more than just the usual. They can follow a specific set of objectives and complete them to claim real-world rewards. Some of which involve opening a bank account, customizing a debit card, and viewing a webinar.

To fulfill their promise of helping people with their finances, ADIB would conduct free webinars that teach people how to handle money better. The webinars talk about accounting skills, banking products, and expense management. These webinars are offered to all ADIB participants and app users.

City

Users can claim rewards by unlocking some of the objectives in ADIB City. The city features several different buildings that represent some of the existing brands within the area. Each is depicted and arranged according to the real-world setup which makes the whole thing not only exciting but also realistic.

Colours

The features of ADIB City are already overall light and creatively designed. Thus, to complement and set the balance, the colour pallete chosen is dominantly neutral, such as black and the different shades of gray. The stroke of radiance has been carried out by the light and dark shades of blue. This colour blend is just right to pull off the suitable tint and effect exuding loyalty and trust.

Typography

The legible font chosen in this project is the Open Sans typeface. Open Sans ExtraBold and SemiBold are used for the main and sub headings respectively, and the Open Sans regular is used for the paragraph texts. Open Sans never goes out of style, especially if the target is flashing clarity and professionalism.
